Sarah Brummel created HOWL after graduating University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Environmental Education. Upon completing an internship with Life Lab Science Program, Sarah saw the amazing benefit for children who were able to study and learn outdoors and not solely in the classroom.
Besides teaching with HOWL, Sarah educates students of Santa Clara County in life sciences while gardening in their school gardens. She also is a substitute teacher in the Santa Cruz area.
Her teaching experience with pre-schools, various classrooms, and volunteer work from around the globe give her the ability to educate in a variety of situations. As one teacher said about her, “Sarah has a great presentation! She’s able to adapt to all 99 personalities and abilities.”
