Summer Camp Schedule
Summer camp meets Monday - Friday from 9:30 - 3:30 at Henry Cowell State Park and SLV Campus in Felton

Session 1 June 21-25 Summer Celebration on the GO $250.00
 

Start the summer out right with some fun in the sun! Session I will start out with a good day hike and picnic by the river. We will also venture further to the Garden of Eden for a day of beautiful water and trees. Highlands Park and a trip to the pool will make the week complete! The weeks Adventure Trip is to the Boardwalk for a full day of Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk fun and a swim in the ocean. Session I is On The Go so drop offs will be at Henry Cowell, Highlands Park, and SLV High School.

Session 2 June 28 - July 2 Water World:Splish, Splash, Play $250.00
  IT’s SUMMER! Let’s get wet and stay that way! The week will be focused on water with a trip to Raging Waters, daily dips in the rivers, and SLV Pool. We will study the water cycle as we hike and swim the San Lorenzo River. After this wet winter the water levels should be higher than last year kiddos! Water hikes, water play, water slides, and water melon too!
Session 3 July 5-9 Be Body Wise: Move It, Hike It, Swim It $200.00
 

This week is all about the body! Through eating healthy, stretching, hiking, jogging, swimming, and running at the track students will get in touch with their natural athlete while in nature. Daily yoga and jogs are part of the routine. Campers will learn how important it is to be healthy, and have a lot of fun while they do! Children will learn about bones and muscles. Session 4 July 12-16 Art in Nature: Express Your Wild Side $220.00
 

Nature has always inspired art. This week will allow children to discover their natural artistic ability. We will explore a different medium everyday which the children will choose. Options will be: water color, clay, oil pastels, tie dye, photography, charcoal drawings, collage, beading, nature journaling, and other ideas that will be suggested by campers. Children are invited to sample and play with the various forms of artistic expression and will make their own portfolio. Adventure Trip to Point Lobos.

Session 5

July 19 - 23 Project Protect and Preserve

The Wildlife of our Watershed

$220.00
 

With the help of a grant from the San Lorenzo Valley Water District this camp will be a time for children to become active and help their local watershed. We will study the habitats along the San Lorenzo, test the water, use GPS tools to find creeks and rivers, clean up local beaches, and teach others about the health of our watershed. Campers will create short advertisement about the river.
Potential 5 scholarships available with help from grant from SLVWD. TBA on May 7. Please email if interested.

Session 6

July 26 - 30 Please Give Me S'More

Camping and Survivial Skills

$250.00
 

With an overnight camping trip to plan and prepare for campers will enjoy a night under the stars. We will study survival skills on what to do if alone in the woods, encounter a mountain lion, or get hurt on the trail. We will study local plants ( edible and poisonous ones) and animal tracking. Overnight trip will be on Thursday with an half day on Friday.

Session 7

August 2 - 6 A Day at the Park:

Enjoy Santa Cruz's Finest.

  There are so many great parks in our area. Campers will visit favorite spots in Henry Cowell, Highlands Park, Loch Lomond, The Pool, and Sea Bright Beach. At each location we will have arts/ crafts time, hiking, swimming, and games. Camp is On The Go with various drop off locations. We will help arrange carpooling.
Session 8 August 9-13 Clean It Up and Play! $220.00
  To celebrate the last session of the summer we will visit our favorite spots along the San Lorenzo River. While at these locations we will clean up the area, picnic, and play in the river. We will study the water cycle to see why our actions are so important! Go Pack HOWL!
   
Early Drop off and Late Pick Up are available with prearrangement for a fee of $10/hour.

Sibling/Repeat Discount - 10% discount if you attend more than two camps or have two campers
